Your Don-Bar appliance is made to last. It won't need much maintenance.
Here are a few elementary and easy tips.
Paint
The Don-Bar metallic paint is highly resistant and doesn't need any particular looking after
To clean the outside of your appliance, dry dust it. Do not use water or any liquid cleaning products
Cleaning the glass
When cold, apply an oven cleaner ( either paste or liquid) with a cloth.
When warm, rub the dry glass with fine steel wool (N°000)
Fire-proof bricks
Don-Bar fire-proof bricks don't need any maintenance.
Ashes
Our advice is to regularly remove the ashes, but before doing so, check they are totally cold.
For convenience, cleanliness and safety, use Ash-Clean.
Smoke pipe
With an average use of the fireplace, have your chimney swept once a year.
With a high use of the fireplace, or if you use resinous wood, have it swept twice a year
