We were founded in 1966. Ever since then we have constantly improved our models and done our best to satisfy each customer, and today we are able to offer quality appliances all over the world.


1966-1990 : The bet

Our founder was called Charles Dombard.

Back in 1966, he made a bet : to renew the design of appliances with the use of steel. His aesthetic boldness and his mastership of steel were fruitful.

Our factory was built in the belgian town of Soignies.

In the next 20 years, our collection expanded and our appliances models developed.

Charles Dombard died in 1988, leaving an expanding company who had already conquered belgian and french markets.


1990-2002 : Expansion

In 1993, Guy and Christian Eeckhout became our main shareholders.

We acquired the french brand Artimat to widen our range and strengthen our position.

With a strong franco-belgian unit, we turned to « attacking » Europe.

To do so, we broadened our network of commercial partners who now stretch from Portugal to Estonia, through Ireland, Italy, etc

In 2000, we went over the 50.000 appliances sold landmark .

We are very happy to produce more and more appliances, but our pride lies in producing better and better.

Since Don-Bar was created in 1966, we have always tried to improve our appliances.
