How can we guarantee the quality of a Don-Bar appliance ?
Apart from a 35 year long tradition and our team of specialists, we base the quality of our products on 4 points : Our production methods, our materials, our tools and the constant research of improvements.
Production methods
To insure the quality of the product, we avoid using sub-contractors as much as possible. Our qualified workers and technicians make most of the parts to the appliances themselves.
How do we work ?
- Made to measure
To fit the appliance into your home, we create made to measure parts.
- No assembling
To insure a better finish, air- tightness and strength to your appliance, the parts are not assembled but welded or bent together.
- Hand crafted
To insure a perfect finish, the work is finished by hand (the pumicing amongst others).
Materials
Another point on which we never compromise is the quality of materials.
A Don-Bar appliance is made of :
- Sheet-metal and fire grates made of thick steel which can resist up to 900° C
- Glass ceramic Ç ROBAX È ¨ resists up to 800¡C and with limited darkening
- - Don-Bar aluminium metallic paint resists up to 900° C
- Briques réfractaires réalisées

Tools
Apart from the hand made work, we use numericaly operated machines.
These machines offer the utmost accuracy when cutting, punching out, folding, etc.
Research and development
Our research aims at creating new models and improving existing appliances.
The improvements can aim at :
- Aesthetics
Hiding hinges, anti darkening of glass or simply a new design.
- Full output and easy use
Combustion output (double combustion), better airflow, ash-clean, etc.
- New applications
Integrated fans, gas combustion, etc.

Don-Bar specialists research and develop alone or with the help of experts from the outside.
For instance, we have improved some models with the help of « la faculté polytechnique de Mons ».

| Repairs |
The know-how of our team and our production methods allow us to fix any Don-Bar appliance, even if it is no longer produced.
Even if your fireplace dates back to the sixties and is in bad condition ( broken glass, brickwork, knock in the metal work, etc.),we can repair it or get the necessary spare parts.
